If I Only Would Have Learned This 23 Years Ago From Jim Rohn
In about 1984 I had the opportunity and privilege of meeting and sitting with and learning from motivational speaker and mentor to some of the world’s most successful people, Jim Rohn. I was nearly flat broke, we had filed for bankruptcy a year or two earlier after a business partnership I was involved with closed the doors. Jim Rohn and Pastor Robert Schuller were planning to come to Minneapolis for a speaking engagement and I had answered a newspaper ad for people that wanted to help sell tickets to the event.
Over a period of several weeks our little group of sales people would meet at a townhouse in Bloomington, Minnesota to learn about selling ourselves to get into local businesses where we could give a short presentation about the conference and sell tickets. On several occasions Jim Rohn would fly into Minneapolis and come to the townhouse to meet with us. He would talk quietly in his mild manner and share stories and insights of life and wealth building.
